
Thank you to my lovely, inspiring friend Jacinta for kindly sharing this tried, tasted and delicious raw food salad with me. One of the things that is quite frustrating when making raw food is finding easy recipes that actually taste good. There are so many on the internet now and sometimes when you read the ingredients it sounds like the most disgusting thing, not exactly an inspiration. So here goes, I made this again last night and shared it at a family pot luck and it was the yummiest thing there!
Oriental Broccoli
6 dates soaked for 20 minutes
1 teaspoon ginger root
1 T shoyu or tamari
1t toasted sesame oil
1/4 cup olive oil or grapeseed
4 cups chopped broccoli
1/4 cup sesame seeds
Combine all except broccoli and sesame seeds in a blender (preferably vitamix) and puree. Then pour over broccoli and sesame and toss. Marinate for at least 20 minutes and enjoy
