Well I had the opportunity to attend a “Climate Change” seminar last night at Auckland University. To some it up in one word it would have to be “DEPRESSING”. However it reminded me of why I set up Fruit For Our Children. I cant stand people who sit and talk about a problem and don’t do anything about it. Actions speak louder than words.
So FFOC is a charitable trust committed to planting 17 million not for profit fruit trees in New Zealand. Please visit the website and help support by purchasing Real N’ Raw, it is a great movie and has a fantastic soundtrack and is a showcase of solutions from people who are very real and share some great wisdom to inspire you into healthy living. Disease is NOT a mystery.
So the climate change seminar went on about how things like Copenhagen will make a difference. Well I say the thing that will make a difference is supporting charities like FFOC so fruit tree orchards can be planted throughout the entire country and world for that matter so that no matter what happens we have access to nourishing fruit. Planting fruit trees helps in so many aspects to current problems that we face including soil erosion, starvation, malnutrition, disease, obesity, heart problems, cancer, arthritis, builds communities, gives people something to do and the list goes on! I propose that instead of spending money on Copenhagen, how about everyone buy fruit trees with the cash and plant them instead. That way we might see some change and not just bums on seats.
I think the problems we are facing are easily rectified, only we have become so complicated in our thinking that we cant see straight. Changing our diet and the way we farm are two huge ways that will have immediate impact for life on earth. Most people know that when you change your diet to raw, that so many beautiful things start to happen.
So check out Fruit For Our Children website and purchase one of the songs from the Real N’ Raw soundtrack or all of them! Make it a blessed day.
