I have discovered a really neat thing and want to share it. I think most of my readers will have heard of the work of Masaru Emoto. The man who photographed water crystals and found them to take on the emotions of the words that were attached to the glass. He found the word love created beautiful crystal structures while the word hate did exactly the opposite, well that was among many of his experiments. So sometimes I get headaches, when I have not had enough water or due to everyday stress. So I thought that I would apply this concept to my headache, after all our brains are 93% water. Upon having a headache I simply think of the word love and have had great success in bring the horrible pain of a headache to an end. It has never failed me, but of course always remember that eating healthy live food and drinking spring water is important also in ones healthy outcomes. Next time you feel something coming on, take the time aside, to sit and raise your vibrance by singing, thinking and breathing love, taking nice calm breathes and letting go of all that you do not need. For some of you depending on level of health, vitality, conscious and emotional state, this may take longer than a few minutes, but start by practicing every day, even while you are waiting in line at the store.

One last thing… last night as I was reading my book in bed, I felt that tingle that comes when you are about to get a cold sore. Oh no! So I quickly thought to apply the same principle, I thought of the word love and directed it to the area on my lip and this time within 1 minute the tingle was gone. Fantastic. I rarely get cold sores but everytime I have got that tingle feeling, sure thing boom, the next thing you know, boom, two weeks later and you finally have your lip back. Not a pleasant experience.

So as we are all awakening to new understandings about life and the conscious awakenings that are going on, I am so excited to say that the clearer and cleaner ones body is, the more in tune we become to our powers.

Bless!

There has been recent talk in New Zealand about introducing public funded stomach banding operations to help people who are obese lose weight. I was of course mortified and still am that anyone has to go to these lengths to gain control. I know of someone who has gone through the procedure and I think it interesting to note that in preparing for such an operation one is generally recommended to stop eating meat and dairy. Hmmmm, funny that! Anyway I just wanted to say that if you are overweight and find it impossible to stop yourself from overeating of fat inducing foods then there is an easy answer. The very reason you are craving foods is that your body is malnourished. No matter how much fast food, processed food, fried food and animal products you eat, you will never be satiated. Your body has nothing wrong with it, that is the biggest misconception, it is simply dealing with all the fat causing food you are putting into it. The fact is your ancestors ate crap food, your parents probably ate crap even though they think it is healthy and you are surrounded by people, signs, advertising everwhere tempting you into eating foods that make you fat. The thing with dieting is that it teaches you only to eat less of those fat causing foods. So you end up still malnourished and craving for some form of nutrition and end up binging until your stomach is so full you can’t possibly eat anymore and the cycle continues. My advice when deciding to take control of the situation is to start with my number one rule. Never feel bad about what you eat. It is so common, people eat healthy for say a week and then binge on fast food or whatever and they think they have to start all over again or quit. Well just because you had one bad day does not mean to give up on yourself! The magic to losing weight and staying thin is about adding in real live food to your diet. Someone told me the other day that they couldnt possibly eat raw because they hate salad. Well I have a solution adn this is get over it or live with the consequence of a salad free diet and symptoms associated with that including being fat and most if not all forms of disease. Give yourself a challenge, learn to love salad, put in some yummy artichockes, olives, capers, sun dried tomato and make a decadent cashew nut cream mayonnaise. People completely have no idea of the power being a green leaf and how much energy, power and strength that eating them gives you. It enables you to be the size you should be.

So I want to finish my rant by saying that instead of spending millions of dollars on these operations, will you all please just start eating a green salad a day

I have come to realise on my raw journey that health is one thing that I really do have control of. Hmmm I am thinking I can now apply this attitude to other aspects of my life that can help me obtain financial freedom and a loving husband! Let me explain. When I first heard about the raw diet, I thought how crazy it was and dismissed it. It wasn’t until 2 years later when Matthew was at his worst and I was waking everyday feeling like I had fought world war 3 that I came to decide that I would give it a go. The results were instant, it was marvelous, I had so much more energy, I awoke feeling refreshed on less sleep and things in general seemed so easy to achieve. If health was as easy as changing from cooked to raw then that was it, for me it was a done deal. I certainly had the motivation and more than anything I wanted Matthew to get better. For me the results were immediate and my mind was at rest, I now knew that disease was not a mystery, what an exciting concept! That something I had done since that fateful first mouthful of cooked mush had conditioned me into a way of life that I had no conception of thinking it was doing me harm. I had not even thought about it. I used to think vegetarians (gosh I can only dream of how I would have thought about a raw fooder!) were quirky misfits and that were only going veg for attention and to be pains to the rest of society. Anyway back to the story, Matthew took a lot longer to heal his symptoms and it is certainly not an overnight cure. His entire body broke out in a rash for 6 weeks. The detox that he went through was huge, but that is what happens when you leave things to the very last to do something about it. Putting your health on the back burner only leads to one thing and that is pain and suffering in the long term. If someone tells you that you can not heal your disease then I would wish them a wonderful life and move on. I do not recommend anyone to leave it as long as Matthew did. It is hard though as the mind plays such strong tricks of deception caused by our programming and strong egos. I am no expert on life, but I do know that by applying common sense principals then change is possible. Step by step I move forward, knowing I have the strength to make things better despite feeling at ends at times in other areas of my life. I believe as a society we are currently remembering our true nature and that is from the highest of highs, a place that once we remember our true memory then we will live in a world of order again. Where everyone is looked after and we function as a unit, not as separated fragments. But then again, maybe it is the problems that we face that help us to stay true to our own independence. Only time will tell as more and more truths are revealed and it is up to us to let go of our ego’s and accept and embrace change, despite the challenges that leads us to face.

Blessings to you.

How many times have you held your tongue when someone is blabbering on about how sad it is that their friend/family member has cancer or some other diet related disease? How many times have you wished you could some up the courage to share your wisdom with them on how they can reverse their disease and be healthy again? How many times have you watched someone die while you stood aside and did nothing for fear of rejection? How many times have you not spoken the truth for fear of humiliation for not going with the “status” quo? I would like each and every one of my blog readers to consider that next time they have the opportunity to share health related wisdom that they take the courage to do so regardless of what someone else is going to think. Regardless of what your mother is going to say and some mothers can be pretty stubborn! It is incredible each and every time I hear of another celebrity who dies of cancer and the like. I am amazed that surely just one person should have told them the truth. So even if you think your wisdoms will fall on deaf ears, I promise you will feel better for having said something. The conditioning and trust that the pharmaceutical and medical industry has built up with the general public over the years is a hard one to break down, but slowly and surely as more and more people choose to take their health back by changing their diet then the message will continue to grow. I know for my own self that I am so glad others chose to change their lives and share their messgae with me. It has made a tremendous change on my life in so many different ways. What do you choose to do?

Come on people, every time I turn on the news or watch a talk show or here of another person dying of cancer I wonder why with all the information on the web and so many people now in the know about healing disease naturally that this is still happening. It is like society is divided into two groups, one who thinks that disease is a mystery and the other who understand that you are what you eat. You can even look people in the eye and explain that by changing what you eat and understanding things such as fasting on juices and water that it gives your body a chance to recover from the onslaught of cooked dead food that we have been stuffing into our faces for quite some time now and they would rather die than change what they eat. We are at such an exciting time in the development of human conciousness and I can’t find one reason why the heck someone wants to check out with cancer and die of the disease. Cancer is nothing but a dirty body, whether it be luekemia (dirty blood) or breast cancer, the way to enable your body to heal is by changing what you are putting into it. It is like we are addicted to disease. The emotions that surround it or even crazier the fact that we get attention and life even becomes a bit exciting when we are sick. What a crazy concept! I have been told that it is extreme to eat only raw food. But tell me please what is more extreme, getting your breasts cut off, nuking your body with toxic chemo drugs and letting yourself die or deciding not to put crap into your body again. I am rather like a hard out bootcamp bitch. Tell people exactly what they don’t want to hear but need to hear anyway. How else can you wake people up from the sleep of not realizing that food is what is causing your disease.

So if you are one of those people who think they would rather die than change your diet, how about adding in one green smoothie a day to your diet. It is that simple and you will be amazed at the changes. Come on I really dont think anyone can actually enjoy feeling pain from disease, whether it be the sore back, pain in our ankle or eczema you have had all your life. Try raw foods for just one week. Or add in a green smoothie twice a day for just one week. You will be absolutely delighted. Stop dying of cancer it is absolutely unnecessary.

Bless

Great way to start the day or maybe even a midday snack, my daughter will even ask for this for dinner. I generally always have fresh home made almond milk in my fridge so when I am in one of those, “I’ll eat anything” modes I can eat something healthy like muesli with almond milk. Sustaining, great bowel cleaner, tastes great and is satisfying if you feel like something bulky. To make this no bake muesli you can prepare in advance and store in an airtight container. You can even do a mono fast on the stuff. Try 7 days eating as much of this as you like interlaced with in season fruit. You will feel great and your bowel will love you for it.

4 cups of rolled oats

2 cup of nuts of your choice

1 cup of dried fruit eg raisins, apricots, sultanas, dates (chopped)

4 T flax seeds (intestinal broom)

1/2 cup coconut flakes

Put all ingredients in blender and pulse until you have your desired texture either fine of chunky. Store in airtight container and use at will I chop up bananas and drizzle with honey and then cover in almond or brazil nut milk. Enjoy a delicious home made muelsi that doesn’t cause bloating.

Hi Lovelies, have just come from the kitchen and want to share my easy peasy goodness gracious great balls recipe with you all. These balls are so easy to make in 5 minutes and are a guaranteed success with children. My girls sometimes find it hard at school with all the other children and their packaged chippies and the likes but when they took goodness gracious great balls the other children were hounding them to try and once they did they were amazed at how good they tasted. Going by most children’s lunch boxes these days I was not suprised they liked them, it is probably the only real food they get!

Here goes, enjoy.

1 cup of cashews

1/2 cups pistachios (purchased raw from indian spice shop)

1/2 cup sunflower seeds

1 cup oats

1/2 t cinnamon and pinch of salt

1 1/2 cups of chopped dates

agave or runny honey to form stickier balls.

Put the nuts in a food process until they are quite ground. Add in oats, cinnamon and salt and pulse for another 30 secs or so. Add chopped dates and continue until the mixture starts to get sticky, if it doesnt get sticky slowly drizzle in agave or honey until you have desired consistency to be able to form balls with your hands. Make sure not to over process nuts as the mixture can become too oily. Have fun in the process, making balls like this to the perfect consistency is a matter of practice. If you find the mixture isnt able to form balls. I have used this recipe also as a mueslie, just make almond milk, poor over and enjoy.

PS. I love the name here I came up with, if you are bored in your life and want some random craziness, start making yourself laugh by coming up with different names for the food you are eating. Life has become far to stuffy, so many rules and the like and way to much boringness everywhere. Be bold, be brave, be random, make yourself laugh today by stepping outside your comfort zone and doing something different.

Bless!

A lot of people have been asking how much should I eat, when should I begin, how long should I fast and many other questions surrounding healing and in specific knowing what to do. The core issue here is the lack of trust we have in our own healing ability and in knowing what is right for ourselves. Through our education system and conditioning in general we have grown into the habit of not trusting our own intuition. Our thoughts are our guide to knowing what is right for our own personal journey. Yet we lack distinct trust in those thoughts. For some reason we think we are wrong about knowing what to do in our own lives. Sure it is great to hear opinions and seek expert advise in fields to enhance our understanding, but no one and I mean no one can understand you better than you. Pealing off layers of conditions is hard work at times and we need to be ready to be able to cope with the changes that occur when we do so. It is my rule number one, I know what is best for me given my circumstances at the time.

So when embarking upon a fast whether it be eating watermelon for 7 days or juicing or green smoothies, you will learn to understand that your body knows what it is doing and you will continue to grow the strength of understanding to listen to your own intuitive guidance.

Matthew’s journey of watermelon fasting was a huge insight. He ate when he felt hungry and on some days he was just drinking water alone. There is no prescription here. Each individual has there own uniqueness. Put aside the fear and leap into self healing knowing that you trust in your own process of understanding. There were times with Matthew that I wanted to take him to hospital, he was so sick. Days where I wondered if he was going to make it through. But he helped me to realise that hospital for him was not an option. All they would want to do would be tell him he was crazy, drive fear into his spirit and completely take away his strength and control of his own life. Don’t get me wrong, there are some great medical Dr’s out there, who help people in accidents and the like, but there is a huge myth being created surrounding disease that they believe to be a mystery, when clearly it is not.

I myself have been told many a time by unhealthy, overweight, sick looking people that eating raw food is crazy. I find it ironic that I look and feel far better than them and yet they feel through their own arrogance that it is ok to tell me I am stupid, crazy or a freak. So when someone else is projecting their fears and thoughts onto you, have the courage to listen to your own guidance and respond how you choose.

Real N' Raw showcases a solution that offers everyone a chance to live a pain and disease free life.

Real N’ Raw showcases a solution that offers everyone a chance to live a pain and disease free life. So many of us still think that health is unaffordable, that organic fruit and vegetables and things that are marketed like health supplements are so expensive that it can really stop someone from thinking that health is not obtainable because of budget. For centuries we have been indoctrinated with poverty, especially as the world population grows and the wealth/poverty gap grows bigger. But ask yourself what is able to bridge that gap, what is it that is able to give that feeling of abundance, excellence and that feeling that comes through living our dreams. So I want people to understand that no matter where you are on the financial ladder, health is obtainable for you. Once you make your mind up and decide that change is going to happen in your life no matter what, then the solutions can appear. It is when we say that oh no it is too expensive or I can’t afford to buy fruits that the mental poverty trap keeps us in our misery. Me and my girls constantly not because we have too but because it is really a fun thing to do scour the neighbourhodd for locally grown back yard fruit. We have a great time, jumping fences, loading up jumpers and pockets with fruit and not to mention the taste of the stuff. Delectable. Talk to your neighbors, share back yard fruit, it is a great way to get to know everyone.

Anyway back on to supplements such as vitamins and minerals. I just want people to know that even though there are a lot of good extra additions to a healthy raw diet out out there, don’t think because you can’t afford them that you can’t reach optimum health for you. Matty’s best healing was done eating watermelon and lemons alone for weeks on end. Yes just watermelon and lemons, in fact that is what saved him from an early grave. Sometimes he would only be spending $15 a week on food and that was when he was able to put in the hard yard to make Real N’ Raw possible. He had so much energy that he was sleeping less, working out more and able to balance his new found health freedom. So no we are not trying to put the supplements industry out of business but what we are offering is a solution that is obtainable on any budget.

Please remember that it takes time to heal after years of eating a processed and enzyme deficient diet we are finding that people want overnight miracles. Even though when Matty went raw the initial boost of energy and pain relief was a highlight, it was just the beginning of a roller coaster ride towards health. It is not all easy and there are some huge detox periods that people are mistaking for allergies and thinking that raw food is not for everyone. Once you understand how the body works and heals itself you too can understand that the process takes time. It is not a magic pill but more an ongoing choice to be healthy and is certainly worth the ride. Who on earth wants to live in pain and disease, no not much fun at all. We had our share of that and think that once you know the solution the long and short term benefits are well worth the self discipline to obtain. You will be amazed at how the most annoying little things mental, emotional and physical can just disappear after a period on raw foods.

Gosh, how many people do you know have a health related issue. Obesity, diabetes, aging (yes health related), Alzheimer’s, asthma, eczema, cancer, aids, leukemia, heart disease, blood pressure, mental illness, depression, aches, pains, anger problems, acne, period complaints oh the list goes on. Yet a very small and I mean TINY portion of the people would want to associate this to the diet we are consuming. Real N’ Raw has a great quote in it and that is “It is easier to change a man’s religion than it is to change his diet”. Now well ain’t that the truth. I think to start with we should look at the facts. Don’t go changing anything just yet, put your ego aside, get out of your and everyone elses way and look at the facts. Find the people who get results outside of pills, medication and the current mainstream health solutions. People with any disease are starting to turn to alternatives such as naturopaths, osteopaths etc but out right refusal to look at the fundamental, because that would mean having to change what you eat. It is ironic, I eat and comfort the disease I have with the very thing that has caused the disease in the first place. Think about it, if you are sick to any degree, including aches and pains and you are eating and type of meat including fish, dairy, bread or any type of processed food then there you have your answer staring you in the face. Well I may not be a medical dr but I hold a science degree and I know how to research, I also knew how to motivate my dying partner into changing his ways.

So if you are suffering from any form of disease, there is hope. Turn to someone who understands raw foods and fasting, give me or Matty a call +64 9 5213039 and we will be happy to open ourselves to you. We have lived through hideous disease, pain and suffering and we are only 35, luckily we now have our lives and sanity back, onwards and upwards! Make friends with us on facebook also dana@animators-ink.co.nz or matt@animators-ink.co.nz we are more than willing to help you on your journey. Why? Because we got the results we were after, we travelled far and wide to find people who had healed themselves of cancer and even people who had healed a severed spinal chord and is now walking again. If anyone tells you there is no hope for your condition, tell them to have a nice day and never phone them back. Turn your back and have the courage to find those who give you hope.

Matty’s biggest hurdle was letting go of disease, after so long living with it, it becomes your identity. When you start to heal it is almost like you are so wide awake for the first time it can be quite a emotional ride. But well worth the effort. There is no food that tastes as good as being healthy feels. Nor any drug recreational or medical that will provide the high that fasting and raw food provides.
